As parents, we have expectations about what our children will be like when they grow up. Sometimes it's hard to accept our children's choices, especially when they fall in love with and decide to spend their life with someone who grew up in a different faith tradition.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
I am a Jew by choice, and it was a very long path to see that God had chosen me and was waiting for me to accept. This has been the best thing in my life. It pinched a little when your character was told that she was not Jewish becaue both parents were not Jewish. If you haven’t already, I hope you take a course or two to learn more.
