		<description>What do you mean, "according to Judaism?" Could you cite a source? I see that &lt;a href="http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/16453/showrashi/true/jewish/Chapter-1.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;Chabad has Ruth with Rashi in translation&lt;/a&gt; on the web, and Rashi doesn't say that Ruth converted before marriage--the opposite, in fact. Does Midrash Rabba on Ruth say that she converted before marriage? I don't have all these texts with me at work, but I would be hesitant to say "Judaism says" when it contravenes the plain meaning of the text &lt;i&gt;and Rashi&lt;/i&gt; (who is not a friend of intermarriage, as you must know!)</description>
