Fox Valley Jewish Neighbors Needs You!

It's fun to receive gifts, but the great feeling you get from giving is so much better. Chanukah begins this week, and as our focus turns to families, candles, miracles and, of course, gifts, please take a moment to make your special year-end Chanukah gift to FVJN, today!

No donation is too small.  Not only do we need funds, but we need your show of support by your participation in this fundraiser.

FVJN does amazing and wonderful things, but angels and miracles don't fund them.  To be the community we want to continue to be takes money.  If it weren't for annual fund donations, we couldn't provide the wide range of services, educational opportunities, or social activities -- not to mention the many friendships that have developed out of FVJN.

We rely on your annual appeal contributions to give extra needed support for our activities.  Your contributions keep the religious school affordable and our adult programs free and open to anyone.

The time is now.  Please send in your check today!  Every little bit helps.  No donation is too small.  (And not to be forgotten, since FVJN is a 501c3, all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.)

FVJN has completed another year as the vibrant and dynamic Jewish organization that welcomes all who are interested in being part of our ongoing building of our local Jewish community. Every year we have more people participating in an ever-increasing number of programs. This year, through FVJN, people gathered for:

o Book Club meetings
o Adult education programs, including film nights
o Social activities
o Social service activities, including working at Northern Illinois Food Bank and participating in International Day of Peace
o Dedication of the FVJN Peace Pole
o Interfaith- and family-friendly services and celebrations, including two baby-naming ceremonies, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot
o Fox Valley Jewish School, FVJN’s religious school

Since FVJSchool opened in 2010, more than 50 area children have been full-time FVJS students, and the first FVJS-educated student’s bat mitzvah service has taken place.

FVJN makes a significant difference in the Jewish presence in our area. Local papers frequently cover FVJN events, and people interested in Jewish activities in our area are consistently referred to FVJN. To find out more, please visit

Help us to continue to gather together, and to welcome all who want to be part of this Jewish community. We welcome you without regard to synagogue affiliation, your religious background, your marital status, sexual orientation, or age.

Your donations make a difference, and without them, FVJN does not have the means for continuing its work. Thank you for sending your tax-deductible* donation today to FVJN, P.O. Box 8, Geneva, IL 60134. You may also donate by credit card at

Best wishes to you this holiday season!
