Tribal Judaism?

Judaism is a religion, a way of life, a culture, a people and even still thought of as a tribe.

What do you think of the idea of being part of the tribe? Can someone not Jewish in a family with Judaism feel part of the tribe?

The biblical Israelites had a diverse community traveling with and living with them. Today, we bless our sons on Shabbat in the name of Joseph's sons born of an Egyptian mother. Can these examples fit with the idea of a tribe?
