Parents, Children and Interfaith Relationships: Listening so they will talk. Talking so they will listen. 4 week class being taught at Gratz College in Elkins Park, PA by IFF/Philadelphia Director Rabbi Robyn Frisch. The class begins Oct. 28 & is being offered both Tuesday afternoons & Tuesday evenings.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
6:30 pm Early Family Services are followed at 7:15 pm by a Share Shabbat community dinner. Enjoy family-oriented services led by Rabbi Zedek and Ruth Seidner. Listen and sing along with Emanuel's own 'Ham-it-Up' Band! Savor a delicious potluck dinner following family services. Every month, different volunteer chefs and groups will cook for us. This month, a great group of Emanuel women will be hard at work preparing a delicious Shabbat dinner for everyone. For dinner we will also provide juice, wine, challah. As always, congregants can bring salads, vegetables, side dishes or desserts for eight for a complete shared Shabbat dinner. This month we request you please bring a DESSERT! Please note: Due to food allergies, side dishes and desserts should not contain nuts or peanut butter. Reservations are required!
