Parents, Children and Interfaith Relationships: Listening so they will talk. Talking so they will listen. 4 week class being taught at Gratz College in Elkins Park, PA by IFF/Philadelphia Director Rabbi Robyn Frisch. The class begins Oct. 28 & is being offered both Tuesday afternoons & Tuesday evenings.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
Kids rule at the JCC! During the JCC Kids Choice Passover school vacation program, Monday-Thursday, April 9-12, children in grades K-6 choose what they want to do each day. The daily choice of electives includes sports featuring Peter Sylvester, swimming, arts and crafts, dance, drama, cooking, board games, rock wall climbing and more. Held at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton from 9am-4pm with early drop off and extended day available. Special activities are planned each day including Pharoah’s Fun House (carnival), spin art, bowling field trip and JCC Earth Day.
Cost is $340 for all four days for JCC members or $440/week for nonmembers for registrations received before March 21 ($390/$490 thereafter). Come for one day or as many days as you would like. (Per day costs range from $95-$115 for members and $115-$135 for nonmembers.) Kosher for Passover lunch and snacks included. CIT positions for grades 7-9 available at reduced rate (call for details).
