Cole provides dazzling interpretations of works composed on three continents over 1500 years. Cole has been recognized for his work with fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Guggenheim Foundation. In 2007 he was named a MacArthur Fellow.
