Poet and translator Peter Cole will read from and talk about his new book, "The Poetry of Kabbalah," with a discussion led by DePaul University’s Dr. Rachel Shteir. For the first time in English, "The Poetry of Kabbalah" brings to the public verse that emerges directly from Jewish mysticism. Cole provides dazzling interpretations of works composed on three continents over 1500 years. Cole has been recognized for his work with fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Guggenheim Foundation. In 2007 he was named a MacArthur Fellow.
