Our updated booklet, Weddings For The Interfaith Couple, walks you through all of the traditions for the big day, starting with two to think about in advance (choosing a wedding contract known as a ketubah and topics to consider when meeting with your wedding officiant).
Rabbi Mychal will be leading us in a discussion of interfaith relationships throughout Jewish history and the present challenges and opportunities they pose. This discussion will provide a foundation for the second part of the series in which we will explore the many realities of interfaith relationships, including challenges we have faced and our varied approaches to our own interfaith experiences.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
The TKC Preschool Parents Association invites you to bring the kids and join us for lunch, crafts, vendors, games and a silent auction on Sunday, December 9 at 12:30 pm. Our KLUB345 kids will be available to help the little ones with the crafts and some of our older students will be helping with the BINGO games and some fun driedel spinning! We’ll also have a mitzvah project – making birthday and get well cards for JF&CS’s AVIV older adult programs.
There’s a little something for everyone at Chanukah Palooza! Our Preschool parents have worked VERY diligently to gather gift certificates from area merchants for goods and services for the silent auction. There will also be a 50-50 raffle. Sisterhood will be selling previously loved Jewish treasures in addition to the many wonderful items the Gift Shop has to offer! Some small business owners will be selling their wares as well!
