Parents, Children and Interfaith Relationships: Listening so they will talk. Talking so they will listen. 4 week class being taught at Gratz College in Elkins Park, PA by IFF/Philadelphia Director Rabbi Robyn Frisch. The class begins Oct. 28 & is being offered both Tuesday afternoons & Tuesday evenings.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
The Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton (333 Nahanton Street) is offering a new winter Karate class for children ages 5-10. Students will learn Sanchin Martial Arts as they develop confidence, self control and discipline, as well as learn stances, balance, blocks and more. Choose from two sessions, Sundays beginning January 13 from 5-6pm for 10 weeks or Mondays beginning January 14 from 3:30-4:30pm for 8 weeks. Cost for the Sunday session is $250 and cost for the Monday session is $200. Open to the entire community. Interfaith families/individuals welcome.
