Explore brushwork, palette knife, texture, color theory and underpainting in a nine-week Bravura Oil Painting class at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. Learn various oil painting techniques employed by masters such as Sargent, Hals and Degas. Your photos and Master copies will provide sources for projects. A background in drawing is integral to the course but no previous experience is necessary. Class meets on Wednesdays from 10am-12:30pm beginning April 3. Cost is $270. Open to all.
