Parents, Children and Interfaith Relationships: Listening so they will talk. Talking so they will listen. 4 week class being taught at Gratz College in Elkins Park, PA by IFF/Philadelphia Director Rabbi Robyn Frisch. The class begins Oct. 28 & is being offered both Tuesday afternoons & Tuesday evenings.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
Children ages 6-8 years old will challenge their bodies in this introduction to rock climbing at a nine-week climbing class at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. The class is held on Mondays, January 13-March 24, from 4:30-5:30pm. Participants will learn how to put on a harness, tie knots, and become comfortable on a 30’ indoor rock wall. Cost is $260. Classes will also be held on Thursdays, January 16-March 27 from 3:45-4:45pm and Saturdays, January 18-March 29 from 10-11am. Open to the entire community. Interfaith families/individuals welcome.
