Reflecting on the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company at 40 years, Jenkins chose to explore her Jewish heritage and travel to Israel to create a new dance work in collaboration with the Kolben Dance Company of Jerusalem. Moderated by Daniel Schifrin, Margaret Jenkins and Amir Kolben will discuss the sources and inspirations of their cross-cultural exchange. The dancers from the two companies will also perform excerpts of the work and answer questions from the audience.
