Description Every Sunday and select school holidays from 1–3pm, families can experience a new adventure in art-making free with admission to The Contemporary Jewish Museum. As always, the hands-on fun inspires children to learn more about the exhibitions on display in the galleries, the building’s architecture, or holidays and traditions while experimenting with materials and art techniques. Sundays, March 2, 9, 16, & 23, 2014: Animal Mask-Making Explore your wild side and disguise yourself as Frog, Toad, and others as we explore the characters of Arnold Lobel. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Frog and Toad and the World of Arnold Lobel. Sunday, March 30, 2014: Illuminated Letters Inspired by the exhibition Arthur Szyk and the Art of the Haggadah,, practice the ancient art of illuminated manuscripts by creating your own colorful decorated letters using a variety of calligraphy tools including feathers, bamboo sketch pens, and calligraphy markers.
