This booklet, High Holy Days: the Basics, explains the Days of Awe, starting with Rosh Hashanah and running through Yom Kippur, including what to expect at synagogue services, what the home celebrations may look like and concluding with a glossary of useful terms.
Connecting Interfaith Families to Jewish Life in Greater Cleveland by providing programs and opportunities for interfaith families to experience Judaism in a variety of venues, meet other interfaith families, and to connect to other Jewish organizations that may serve their needs.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
The Jewish Federation is thrilled to have the chance to host the 2nd annual Grand Slam Sunday: Jewish Community Day at National’s Park on Sunday, August 28. With your help and support, we know we can make it a wonderful day for all who attend.
The game starts at 1:35 and there will be two hours of pre-game, family-friendly programming inside the stadium. We have been working with the Nationals and have held thousands of seats together for everyone who purchases a ticket through the Jewish Community. There will be 3 different price options for you to choose from for your group block, but we will all be in the same general area of the stadium. Last year, we were the biggest first-time group that the Nationals have ever had! We are excited to once again show off our strong presence as a community at the game.
How to get involved:
Reserve a group block today. At this time, we are asking for a reasonable guess about the number of tickets you think you will be able to sell. After we receive your ticket allotment request we will create a personalized ticket sales page for your organization, allowing your attendees to join your block and purchase their tickets themselves. All group sales will close on August 1st, shortly after your tickets and t-shirts will be available for pickup and distribution, which you are responsible for.
The person leading this effort on behalf of your organization should be the one to fill out the form. That way, it will be easy to communicate with just them moving forward.
Encourage your constituents to attend by publicizing the day in your e-newsletters and marketing. Federation will provide to you personalized Marketing Materials such as art, web buttons, banners and copy for summer newsletters.
Hand out flyers at your events
Use this as a leadership opportunity and choose a “chair” for the day to help with recruitment for your block of group tickets.
We will start advertising individual ticket sales on June 6th, so be sure to reserve your block so you can start selling your group tickets before then.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about how to get involved. We look forward to working with you on creating a fun filled day for the entire community to enjoy!
