This booklet explains the Days of Awe, starting with Rosh Hashanah and running through Yom Kippur, including what to expect at synagogue services, what the home celebrations may look like and concluding with a glossary of useful terms.
Parents, Children and Interfaith Relationships: Listening so they will talk. Talking so they will listen. 4 week class being taught at Gratz College in Elkins Park, PA by IFF/Philadelphia Director Rabbi Robyn Frisch. The class begins Oct. 28 & is being offered both Tuesday afternoons & Tuesday evenings.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
2 Sessions: Mondays, October 24–December 12 (session 1: Sing ‘n Swing) and Mondays, January 9–March 12 (session 2: Jump n’ Roll) both held from 9:30-10:15am at Temple Israel of Natick (145 Hartford Street).
Session 1: Sing n’ Swing, Mondays, October 24–December 12
Get ready to move and groove in this fun and interactive class. Children and adults will use a variety of rhythm and melodic instruments to sing, dance, play and stimulate senses. Experience the joy of singing, music-making and learn why music contributes so much to overall child development. Everyone will leave this class singing and smiling from ear to ear! Cost is $125.
Session 2: Jump ‘n Roll, Mondays, January 9–March 12
Tumble on everything while playing a variety of group games, climb through obstacle courses and create silly movement motions. Children and adults are active participants in this class as your whole bodies moving! Cost is $125.
