About Us

The Jewish Community Library, including its collections and cultural programs, is free and open to the public and welcomes anyone seeking to learn more about Jewish culture, communities, history, and practice. The Library's collections offer more than 35,000 books, DVDs, and CDs on a vast range of Jewish subjects, from fiction to biblical texts. In addition to the main location on Ellis Street, the Library also maintains branches at the San Francisco and Palo Alto Jewish Community Centers. Free cultural programs highlight Jewish writers, history, art, and music.
