About Us:

The Center for Jewish Genetics is working to create a healthier, more informed community by educating healthcare professionals, clergy, and individuals about genetic disorders, hereditary cancers and the importance of genetic screening and counseling. The Center is now screening for an expansive panel of 80+ conditions using DNA Sequencing on saliva, which has the highest detection rates available, regardless of an individual’s background or ethnicity. Not one of these conditions is exclusive to the Jewish community therefore it is vital that couples, including interfaith couples, seek carrier screening before starting a family. Genetic counseling and carrier screening provides people with the knowledge they need to plan for a healthy future. The Center for Jewish Genetics now serves all of Illinois through its online live-webinars.
