- OSRUI offers programs for children entering grades 2 through 12. Our sessions range in length from 5 days to 7 weeks, and focus on specific areas of interest, including Kibbutz life, the arts, Hebrew immersion, outdoor challenge, and more! This program is designed for our younger and first-time campers grades 2-7. Campers who are independent and love the outdoors … sleeping in tents, eating outside on picnic tables, tending the garden, taking care of animals … will love Kibbutz HaTzofim (or just Tzofim, as we call it)! This is for grades 4 -7. Gesher is designed to give you the ultimate OSRUI experience: more electives (we call them chugim), going on field trips each week, producing the all-camp Carnival, working on social action projects, and emphasizing your role as a member of a community (grades 7-9).Tiferet is one of the only residential camp programs in North America that combines study of the arts with a focus on Jewish themes and Jewish living. Tiferet Aleph is designed for younger campers with a special interest in the arts (grades 6-8).Tiferet is one of the only residential camp programs in North America that combines study of the arts with a focus on Jewish themes and Jewish living. Tiferet Bet is geared toward more mature campers with a real commitment to the arts. 7th Graders in Tiferet Bet must have previously attended Tiferet Aleph (grades 7-10).Moshavah (or Mosh) is designed for those campers who love the outdoors and are prepared to face personal challenges in both thought and action. Mosh campers participate in planning the program and go on two or three multi-day trips backpacking, biking, canoeing, or rock climbing. Moshavah Bet is full for Boys and Girls (grades 8-11). Chalutzim offers campers the opportunity to live and learn in a dynamic and unique intensive Hebrew-speaking environment. This is a total immersion Hebrew program (grades 10-12). Tour La’Agam (Tour to the Lake) is a spectacular bike trip on the Lake Michigan shoreline. Campers will exploring the byways, forests, dunes, and the simple enormity and beauty of the lake. Tour La’Agam is a three-week program; campers spend a few days in Oconomowoc preparing for the trip and two weeks traveling. They return to OSRUI the last weekend (grades 10-12). Explore Israel with your friends from OSRUI and NFTY! NFTY's Chicago Area and Northern regions will be traveling together for 4 unforgettable weeks in Israel. You'll meet teens from our local NFTY region as well as from all around North America (grades 11-12). The URJ Kutz Camp has been the summer home to tens of thousands of teens seeking a unique peer-led Reform Jewish community. The program takes place in a college-campus style environment where teens from North America and around the world come together (grades 10-12). Mitzvah Corps allows Reform Jewish teens to experience social action at its best. Our program combines direct hands-on involvement in communities that need the energy, dedication, and love that youth provide with programs based on Jewish social and ethical issues (grades 1012).
