BIMA is an innovative and intensive arts program with a diverse group of talented Jewish high school students (currently in grades 9-11) from across the U.S. and Israel on the Brandeis University campus. Teenagers major in music, writing, theater or visual arts. BIMA offers elective classes in different media, master classes with guest artists, and exciting trips to cultural events in Boston and the Berkshires. BIMA provides kosher dining, multiple prayer options, Jewish learning activities, and a pluralistic experience of Shabbat. BIMA believes that interactions among Jews of diverse backgrounds enhance Jewish creativity, and that exchanges among artists of different disciplines enrich artistic growth.
