- Congregation Beth Israel is a Reform synagogue with a membership of more than 1,200 households and 4,500 individuals who live throughout San Diego County. We maintain an active affiliation with the Union for Reform Judaism. In the fall of 2001, we moved to our beautiful new 65,000-square-foot campus in the Golden Triangle area of San Diego. The campus includes a sanctuary, chapel, day, religious and pre schools, social halls and meeting facilities, administration offices, open space, courtyards and gardens that create an environment that evokes images of Jerusalem. Beth Israel is an active, vibrant place. Members participate in weekly Shabbat observance, ongoing educational and social action programs. The Congregation offers chavurot, cultural, educational and social activities for women and men of all ages, young couples, singles, families with and without children, interfaith families, active seniors and youth.
