Since 1988, the Jewish Outreach Institute (JOI) has been working towards a more inclusive Jewish community for interfaith families. JOI’s work includes creating innovative, free outreach programs and transforming existing communal institutions, programs and attitudes, through professional education and training. Our programs include:
• The Mothers Circle, a support and education experience for women of other religious backgrounds who are raising their children as Jews.
• The Grandparents Circle, an education program for Jewish grandparents who have interfaith grandchildren.
• Empowering Ruth, a hands-on learning experience for women who have recently converted to Judaism
• Big Tent Judaism Coalition, an advocacy network open to all Jewish communal institutions who seek to engage, support and advocate for all people who would cast their lot with the Jewish people.
For more information about any of our programs, please contact Liz Marcovitz at LMarcovitz@JOI.org.
