A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
Keshet works for the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews in Jewish life.
We work to:
*Bring together GLBT Jews for social, cultural, and educational events;
*Provide social, discussion, and support groups for GLBT youth, Orthodox, and transgender Jews.
We partner with Jewish institutions nationwide to:
*Increase GLBT visibility in mainstream Jewish life;
*Facilitate dialogue and change in Jewish institutions through capacity-building, support, training, and resources for staff and lay leaders;
*Educate and mobilize the Jewish community to support GLBT civil rights, such as equal marriage;
*Create safe and welcoming Jewish schools through workshops and resources for Hebrew schools, day schools, and youth groups.
Keshet presents the groundbreaking documentary film "Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School," the story of one student's courageous fight to establish a gay-straight alliance at her Jewish high school.
