Keshet works for the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews in Jewish life.
We work to: *Bring together GLBT Jews for social, cultural, and educational events; *Provide social, discussion, and support groups for GLBT youth, Orthodox, and transgender Jews.
We partner with Jewish institutions nationwide to: *Increase GLBT visibility in mainstream Jewish life; *Facilitate dialogue and change in Jewish institutions through capacity-building, support, training, and resources for staff and lay leaders; *Educate and mobilize the Jewish community to support GLBT civil rights, such as equal marriage; *Create safe and welcoming Jewish schools through workshops and resources for Hebrew schools, day schools, and youth groups.
Keshet presents the groundbreaking documentary film "Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School," the story of one student's courageous fight to establish a gay-straight alliance at her Jewish high school. View the trailer online at http://www.keshetonline.org.
