About Us:

Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation celebrates Humanistic Judaism, honoring Jewish culture and tradition while empowering independent, human-centered choices. We celebrate being Jewish through our human-focused philosophy of life. Human beings have the intelligence and wisdom to determine the purpose and course of their lives. Kol Hadash empowers its members to make independent choices, to live lives of integrity and dignity, and to create positive change in the world. If you live a secular lifestyle, Humanistic Judaism helps you live Jewish identity with philosophic consistency. Imagine the satisfaction of truly saying what you believe and believing what you say, celebrating your personal beliefs and your Judaism in one voice--that’s Humanistic Judaism and Kol Hadash. Kol Hadash is a full-service congregation with a Sunday school, Hebrew school, Bar/Bat Mitzvah program, Confirmation Program, Shabbat and holiday celebrations and adult education. Our Sunday School meets at Deerfield High School, 1959 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, IL. Shabbat services are held at Heller Nature Center, 2821 Ridge Road, Highland Park. High Holiday services are held at the Gorton Center, 400 E. Illinois Street, Lake Forest, IL. Consult our website for event times and locations. Our members come from the entire Chicagoland area. Come and Join us! If you have questions about the experience of membership as an interfaith family at Kol Hadash, please reach out to one of the congregation's interfaith family Victoria Ratnaswamy at vlzr@beados.com.
