Let this booklet guide you through the High Holy Days with your children with helpful suggestions for conversation points, activities, crafts and ways to make the days interesting and relevant to kids and teens of all ages.
Rabbi Mychal will be leading us in a discussion of interfaith relationships throughout Jewish history and the present challenges and opportunities they pose. This discussion will provide a foundation for the second part of the series in which we will explore the many realities of interfaith relationships, including challenges we have faced and our varied approaches to our own interfaith experiences.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
At Leo Baeck Temple we endeavor to:
Provide a welcoming sanctuary for contemporary Reform Jewish worship, where we study the wisdom and wonder of our religion, culture, and heritage, and where we search for the sacred essence of the human spirit in order to create lives of purpose;
Experience the joy, the beauty, the depth and the mystery of life, and together, as a community of individuals and families, celebrate our traditions and the important milestones of our lives;
Develop an island of serenity within a complex, troubled world, and govern ourselves, to the extent that it is humanly possible, by what is rational, what is just, and what is humane;
Challenge ourselves to help improve the quality of human existence and heal a broken world, while guided by the values of Judaism;
And above all, we place at the very center of our being, the need to practice integrity, respect, and compassion in our dealings with each other, and all those we encounter along the way.
