A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
Founded in 1998 to address the growing need for Jewish educational alternatives in downtown Toronto, The Paul Penna Downtown Jewish Day School is committed to academic excellence in a warm, supportive environment. The school maintains the highest academic standards, building upon and surpassing the core skills and knowledge outlined by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Celebrating our tenth year, our SK to Grade 8 integrated curriculum weaves together the Jewish and general facets of children's lives to develop a meaningful Jewish identity. Through an arts enhanced approach, creative expression becomes a tool for learning where music, drama, visual arts, and dance are used to explore the widest range of subject areas. Our school is committed to social justice, nurturing responsible citizens and compassionate, confident human beings. We embrace the values of equality and diversity, where students of all Jewish backgrounds are fully accepted members of our community. Come explore new possibilities downtown.
