About Us:

Shir Hadash is an inclusive and egalitarian havurah (an informal, cooperative congregation) affiliated with the Jewish Reconstructionist Communities. We are committed to a welcoming and egalitarian approach to Jewish practice: our 60+ member households represent widely diverse backgrounds and points of view. For more than 25 years we have grown in our knowledge and understanding of Judaism. We invite you to participate in our rotating schedule of rabbi-led and member-led Shabbat morning services and Friday night potluck dinners each month. We also offer adult education, social action, and social activities throughout the year. Shir Hadash meets in the Social Hall of the Lutheran Church of the Newtons, 1310 Centre Street, Newton Centre, a short walk from the Newton Centre T stop, across from the municipal parking lot adjacent to Learning Express and Pure Barre. To learn more about Shir Hadash, please visit our web site, www.shirhadash-ma.org, call 617-564-0186, or email us at info@shirhadash-ma.org.
