Let this booklet guide you through the High Holy Days with your children with helpful suggestions for conversation points, activities, crafts and ways to make the days interesting and relevant to kids and teens of all ages.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
Our mission at Temple Shalom Preschool is to enrich children with an integrated curriculum of developmentally appropriate activities that encourage individual and group exploration…..where everything revolves around the children and evolves through the children.
As an NAEYC accredited school, Temple Shalom Preschool is a special place as we have the advantage of being housed in a synagogue setting where the clergy play an integral part of our weekly Shabbat and holiday celebrations. This makes it easy for the children to feel comfortable when they transition to the religious school. Life-long friendships are developed among the children as well as the parents.
We are now also proud to offer a parent/toddler class for families who live in the north. This program, The Jewish Year on Wheels, is open to the community and is an exciting introduction to the joys of Judaism for parent and child alike.
Other programs offered at Temple Shalom for children ages 0-6 include a monthly Tot Shabbat service where families join together for dinner and a service geared for our youngest children.
Our preschool is open to all children ages 14 months through age 5.
