A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
The Tiferet Project is a consortium of four Conservative synagogues in the greater San Francisco East Bay that want to welcome intermarried households into Conservative Judaism. The four congregations are: Congregation B'nai Shalom, Walnut Creek; Congregation Netivot Shalom, Berkeley; Temple Beth Abraham, Oakland; Temple Beth Sholom, San Leandro. The members of the Tiferet Consortium are committed to the notion of inclusion of intermarried families, while also recognizing the need to honor certain boundaries, institutionally and individually. The four synagogues plan to offer a variety of educational and social programming to help interfaith households integrate themselves into Conservative synagogue life.
