Temple Shalom is the area's most diverse Jewish congregation. Affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism, Temple Shalom works to create a spiritual community of "warmth and depth and breadth,” a place that, in the words of Senior Rabbi Michael Feshbach, "welcomes us as we are, challenges us to grow, and works in and with the world around us."
Temple Shalom is convenient by car or public transit. Located where Silver Spring meets Chevy Chase, the temple is just four blocks north of the DC line, three blocks north of the Parkway Deli, and just a mile from the Silver Spring Metro (with frequent bus service in all directions and free onsite parking).
