Parents, Children and Interfaith Relationships: Listening so they will talk. Talking so they will listen. 4 week class being taught at Gratz College in Elkins Park, PA by IFF/Philadelphia Director Rabbi Robyn Frisch. The class begins Oct. 28 & is being offered both Tuesday afternoons & Tuesday evenings.
A great way for Jewish professionals and volunteers who work with and provide programming for people in interfaith relationships to locate resources and trainings to build more welcome into their Jewish communities; connect with and learn from each other; and publicize and enhance their programs and services.
Rabbi and Married 1n 1959. Just came in from vigorous 3 mile walk in Newton Highlands, Ma (Ran Boston Marathon 6 times until 10 years ago). Led Holiday Services 2009. Been leading interesting services as Cantor/Rabbi with guitar. Camp Counselor, University Teacher and Hillel Director, Hospital Chaplain, Boat Club Chaplain, Medical Research Board Member...Still doing most of the above. Visit kids and grandkids all over the US. Been doing Intermarriages since 1970, starting in Kansas City, Mo and continuing here in Boston, Ma. Have officiated all over in many countries and done so for different faiths, ethnic groups, gays, etc. Encourage couples to learn more about what being Jewish is all about and help any children to at least have an understanding of "how to do Jewish".
