I have been serving in the active Rabbinate for 31 years. I am now serving in my 4th placement, where I teach, preach, counsel, marry, bury, etc. in my congregation. I have worked with intermarried couples all the years of my Rabbinate. I have performed more intermarriages than not, and counseled more inter-religious couples than not prior to their weddings. I am involved with two groups of interfaith clergy in my community, and have shared the conducting of marriages with some of them. I also have worked closely with classes of young children in teaching inter-religious concepts and tolerance.
In addition to performing intermarriages, I work with youngsters on becoming Bar/Bat Mitzvah. I am pleased to conduct your son's bris or your son or daughter's naming. I am pleased to take you through the process to conversion. And of course, when the need arises, I am available for a complete funeral, working with whichever funeral director you choose.
I have a Masters degree in Family, child and adult psychotherapy, and have counseled many of my congregants in a variety of settings.
