Dear Dr. Paula: How Will Our Son Feel If He Looks Different from His Father?

InterfaithFamily.com was pleased to offer "Dear Dr. Paula," written by Dr. Paula Brody, the nationally prominent specialist on interfaith family issues. Dr. Brody's monthly advice column responded to email letters submitted by our readers.

Dear Dr. Paula,

We are anticipating the birth of our second child, and we know that we are having a boy. Our first child was a girl, so we never had to ponder the question of circumcision. We have decided to raise both children within Judaism (my religion), but as our son's birth approaches, we are increasingly nervous about a circumcision. We have so many questions about this procedure and wonder how our son will feel if he looks different from his uncircumcised Catholic father.
