Travel and Subsidy Information
InterfaithFamily.com will be subsidizing a large part of your cost for the conference thanks to a generous grant from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation. All room, board, transportation to the retreat center from the airports, and up to $225 per person reimbursement for transportation to the Washington Reagan or Baltimore/Washington International airports, is covered. Participants will be responsible for a $90 non-refundable registration fee and any travel expenses above $225. To receive the $225 reimbursement you will need to submit your receipts and a reimbursement form which can be downloaded from our website. Reimbursement will be sent to you approximately 4-6 weeks after the conference.
The conference will begin at 12pm on Tuesday, May 8 and will end at 2:15pm on Thursday, May 10. If you are flying, please plan to fly into either Washington Reagan (NOT Dulles) or Baltimore/Washington International. Buses will be leaving for the retreat center from each airport at 10am on May 8th. A second bus will leave from Washington Reagan at 2pm on May 8th for those of you who chose to come to the conference late. Please plan to arrive at the airport an hour before the buses leave. Departing flights should leave either of these airports no earlier than 6pm on May 10th. If you are driving, you may either drive straight to the retreat center or to either of the airports to take the bus.
For those of you who are not able to make it into Baltimore or Washington on May 8th and need to arrive the day before due to the length of air travel, please contact Amy Rovin (amyr@interfaithfamily.com) to arrange pre-conference accommodations .
Important notes about the retreat center:
-
Most rooms will be doubles. If you have a roommate(s) preference, please indicate on the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate requests.
-
Cell phone service is extremely spotty and non-existent in many areas of the camp. We will have a phone available for emergency purposes.
-
If you need to stay connected to your home or office via internet, we will have an internet station set up during the retreat. In addition, if you have a laptop with an Ethernet card and a cord, you may bring it with you - all guest rooms have plug in access.
-
While the retreat will take place in the springtime, we will be in the mountains of Pennsylvania, and it gets quite cool at night. Please pack accordingly.
We look forward to sharing this exceptional experience with you and are counting down the days until May 8th! Please contact Amy Rovin if you have additional questions or need assistance with the registration process at 617.581.6862 or amyr@InterfaithFamily.com.
