Lia-
After reading your article I found an instant connection but not with you. I too am jewish and am in an interfaith relationship. I too struggle with idea of love or loyalty. I wish you the best of luck but know that your story will have a happy ending.

Hello Lia- I feel the same way as you. I face the exact same situation- I am a catholic swiss girl and my bf is jewish. Our love is strong and pure, and it is hard to see that a story of love ends up turning into a story of religion even though we are ready and willing to compromise. My best friend was also in the same situation and her jewish bf broke up with her after 4 years because she refused to convert. He wasn't that religious (my bf IS) but his mother would not let him marry her. She warned me since the beginning but I thought that love would be above everything. Now, as questions are raising ( I already agreed on raising our children as jewish) about the way that he is going to handle the stuation and not beeing able to share the jewish traditions with me, the concerns get more serious. Please let us know what happended.
