Article Discussion: Jews Don't Date Men with Guns

I didn't grow up around jews my age so I never considered dating someone Jewish until my previous relationships fell apart due to conflicts over the holidays. Then I was determined to marry a Jew. But just like this story, I found myself happy in the company of someone completely unexpected. My life took a turn, and although at 29 years old I was tiring in my wait for marriage and a family, I find myself facing an unexpected pregnancy, and as if he was reading my mind through my tears over all the things we haven't talked about, right away he said "Like what, like you want to raise the baby Jewish, thats fine." Life never turns out the way we plan. I always thought I would be married first, but sometimes life brings us to places we never would have found with our own plans, and I have never been so loved in all my life, so all I can say to Lindsey is, take the time to be happy, even if its not what you expected, happiness is worth the detour.
