Thank you to Rebecca for sharing her story. I am a mother of 3 young children- and our family is also an interfaith family. I was raised as a Christian and my husband is Jewish. We are raising our kids in the Jewish faith. We joined a reform synagogue that is very liberal and accepting of interfaith families. They are accepting of everyone for that matter.
I also feel that our family has the best of both worlds being exposed to 2 different religions/cultures/traditions. I want our kids to be open minded and accepting of others. What is important to me is what kind of people our kids grow up to be- kind, confident, motivated, educated, tolerant, happy individuals. We want to pass on our family traditions, and our morals and values. And I think we are doing that everyday!

Dear Rebecca:

Very interesting article!

If you'd ever like to talk with other children of intermarriage, including adoptees, we have a website at:

Cordially,
Robin
