Fascinating article.  I'm not sure what to comment about it - I'm still taking it all in.  But what food for thought.  Ironically, I was a person raised by two Jewish parents in a mostly secular home, despite weekly religious school and holiday meals.  I never once dated a Jewish man.  Now here I am, married to a non-Jew, more Jewishly identified than ever before in my life.  And wanting my children to feel that same way.  I wonder what being Jewish FEELS like to them.  Am I wrong to hope they have strong Jewish identities even as I live in a community in which they are literally the only two Jewish kids in the whole school?  Hmmm - thoughts, thoughts.
