So true!  In the CD Tutorial in my Hanukkah Kits (www.JewishHolidaysInABoxl.com), I "started" to put in a section on variants in basic terminology.  But that was the length of an entire CD.  Well, there's the Americanized version. And the Israeli version. And the Yiddish version . . . and of course, this depends on your heritage!  Certainly can seem confusing, yes?!  So I saved all that for its own tutorial, for another day!

Oops.  Webside should be www.JewishHolidaysInABox.com.  And that variant is just correct spelling -- has nothing to do with where your bubbie and zaydie came from ;-)
