Dear Alice: I hear these types of concerns a lot from interfaith parents.
As the Coordinator of the Half-Jewish Network, with children and grandchildren of intermarriage from all over the globe in the group, I would suggest that your children will do what they feel they must do as adults.
All a parent can do is provide love and nuturing.
You showed them an example of a conscientious parent who underwent spiritual changes later in life. That's all to the good.
