Shabbat (the Sabbath) is the most important Jewish holiday and it comes every week. There are rituals and prayers associated with the beginning of Shabbat, specifically before the meal served on Friday nights.

The Cole Family share’s the Friday night pre-meal rituals: giving tzedakah (righteous or charitable giving), lighting the Shabbat candles, blessing and sipping grape juice, and blessing and eating challah bread.

This video is a nice supplement to our booklet: Shabbat Made Easy.
